“Peach Pickin’ Time in Georgia” is a song that was co-written by Georgia fiddler Clayton McMichen and early country artist Jimmie Rodgers, first recorded in 1932. The lyrics are about the lovers that one might “pick” while traveling to different places to do seasonal work like picking apples, cotton, or peaches.
